Travel, volunteer, and blog about it: Another experience
While I am in "Little Burma" my Bates co-alumni Bennet Leon is in "Little Tibet", Leh, Ladakh, where troubles like frozen water pipes and altitude sickness prevail over Dengue Fever and Malaria. As summer comes and I lay sweating and sleepless in bed, I am jealous. His blog talks a lot about the program he is with and trekking in the area, worth checking out for the photos and stories.
