Burmese Water Colors
Maung Maung Tinn is an exceptionally talented painter living in Mae Sot. He is a Karen and has been living in exile since 1995. I had the chance to see his most recent work, a photo realistic portrait of two young Karen with a branch coming down in the background. He pointed to one of the many leafs on the branch and said it alone took three hours to paint.
